William (Billy) Miller, of Sullivan, Missouri, is the newest member of the Missouri State University Board of Governors.
Miller will replace student governor Tyree Davis, whose term expired on Dec. 31.
“Tyree has been a valuable member of the Board of Governors,” said Missouri State President Clif Smart. “Billy has been very involved on campus and is a great addition to the board. He’ll represent the students well.”
Miller said he’s looking forward to joining the board.
“I’m passionate about the university, its students and ensuring that every student has a voice,” Miller said. “During my term, I hope to support the university’s established vision, build relationships with other student leaders, and serve as a liaison between the Board of Governors and the MSU community.”
Miller’s term begins immediately
Miller is a junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in administrative management with a minor in marketing.
He is a peer advisor at MSU’s Career Center. He is also involved in the Student Affairs Advisory Board, the Student Organization Funding Allocation Council and Enactus.
