The Cheek 150 Open-Access Computer Lab will be closing at the end of the Fall semester and will remain closed. This is to prepare for upcoming building renovations scheduled to be completed in 2026, which include a new, efficient computing space for students. In the meantime, students will continue to have access to essential computing resources at the main open-access computer lab in Meyer Library 105 and the satellite lab in Glass Hall 436.

Additionally, Meyer Library 105 will be undergoing its own changes. Construction will soon be underway toward the back wall to build more staff office space. These offices will house the Computer Services team which supports core employee and departmental technology, bringing together staff once located across multiple buildings and providing a central hub for both student and staff tech support. This construction is scheduled to be done by March 2025, with most of the noisier work completed during the winter break.

These renovations also allow for exciting changes to better meet students’ needs in the Meyer Library 105 Computer Lab. We are bringing the most-requested services, such as printing, to the front of the lab, improving print services with new Toshiba multi-function printers, adding more standing stations, and upgrading informational signage, along with other lab enhancements. These improvements aim to give students easier and more efficient access to computing and printing services. While some study rooms and computer stations may be temporarily unavailable during construction, no long-term reduction is planned.

If you have any questions about the lab changes underway, contact Kristi Oetting at KristiOetting@MissouriState.edu. All Open-Access Computer Labs and Help Desk hours of operation can be found at https://helpdesk.missouristate.edu/hours.htm .
