Jordan Creek Cleanup a success

More than 60 people volunteered.

May 22, 2018 by Tori York

Every day we hear about new ways to help the environment. Whether it be using less plastic or recycling, we all do our part to keep our planet clean for future generations.

On April 28, 63 Missouri State Students and community members did their part by participating in the Jordan Creek Cleanup. More than 90 bags of trash and many other large items like carpet were removed from the urban creek.

A collaboration between Missouri State University, local engineers and water experts, it was the most successful cleanup to date.

Trekk Design Group, LLC, sponsored the cleanup. Mother’s Brewing Company hosted fellowship afterward.

Thank you to all who came out to keep Jordan Creek a little cleaner than before.
