Discover engineering at free event

Bring your family and enjoy a science filled afternoon Feb. 16.

February 1, 2019 by Tori York

Every year, kids and adults alike come to Discover Engineering Day.

Though it’s geared toward elementary-age students, there is something for everyone through exhibits, demonstrations and activities related to engineering.

Attend this free event Feb. 16 from noon-3 p.m.

The event is at the Plaster Center for Free Enterprise. There is free parking off Boonville Street.

“Being at the Plaster Center for Free Enterprise allows the use of engineering labs and classrooms,” Dr. Matthew Pierson said. “Last year’s event was a major success with 300 – 400 visitors and nearly 30 activities”

This is a collaboration between Missouri State University and the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE).

For more information or to have a display or booth, contact Pierson at 417-837-2320.
