We are better together.
In the College of Natual and Applied Sciences (CNAS), we have partnered with others to better serve our students.
We offer civil and electrical engineering in collaboration with Missouri University of Science and Technology.
Our most recent partnership
In 2019, CNAS and mechanical engineering at Missouri S&T teamed up to bring mechanical engineering to Missouri State.
For this partnership, CNAS and Missouri S&T were awarded the Program Collaboration Award from the office of the provost at Missouri State.
Dr. Tammy Jahnke, dean of CNAS at Missouri State, accepted the award.
“Partnerships and collaborations that benefit students and workforce development in Missouri are important to Missouri State University,” Jahnke said. “This collaboration has proven to be successful as we started civil and electrical engineering.”
The mechanical engineering program will be housed in the Plaster Center for Free Enterprise with civil and electrical engineering.
“I am excited to work with Rich Wlezien, dean of engineering and computing at Missouri S&T, to fully implement mechanical engineering,” Jahnke said.
About the award
The office of the provost created the Program Collaboration Award five years ago. Each year the award is given to individuals, groups or units who look beyond their organization to create partnerships that benefit students.
