The Department of Theatre and Dance presents “The Pajama Game,” with four performances beginning Thursday, April 4.
This wonderfully retro musical comedy centers on a labor dispute at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory, where hard-pressed workers are demanding a seven-and-a-half-cent per- hour wage increase. Factory manager Sid Sorokin falls for union activist Babe Williams, but their romance is at an impasse along with the negotiations, providing an incentive for Sid to find a win-win solution! Stitched together with tunes like “Hernando’s Hideaway” and “Hey There,” “The Pajama Game” is a perennial favorite!
