Dr. Shawn Wahl, the dean of the Reynolds College of Arts and Letters, commissioned the promotional video “Let’s Have a Conversation” to showcase the universal nature of the study of communication. Filmed partially on location in Siceluff and Glass halls, this video features students from the department of communication utilizing their skills across a variety of opportunities and interactions.
The head of the department, Dr. Brian Ott said “The video successfully communicates a lot in only a minute. It conveys the centrality of communication to all aspects of our lives (personal, professional, and public), as well as its importance to success in those varied contexts. But, crucially, it also shows that students can work in a virtually infinite array of fields and industries with a degree in communication. In short, it poetically captures why communication is such a valuable and sought-after degree today.”
