It’s season finale week here at the PSU. We’ve got finals coming up and with that comes the annual showcases of student projects.

First up on Monday, May 9th in the PSU Theater at 6:30 PM we have the Electronic Arts Senior Showcase. EA students will be premiering their year long senior thesis projects which include short films South of Black Drink Crier (Facebook, website) and Thin Air (Facebook, website), a four movement music piece with accompanying visuals called Tempete, an animated short titled The Last Question, and an interactive module for K-3rd grade about Water Cycles & Conservation. Over the years the Electronic Arts Senior Showcase has produced a plethora of award winnings projects.

The Media, Journalism and Film Student Showcase takes place on Tuesday, May 10th in the PSU Theater at 6:30 PM. This event is another showcase of the award-winning talent here at Missouri State University. Again this event is free and open to the public and will feature projects created by students from the Media, Journalism and Film department.

Thursday, May 12th the MSU Ad Team will be presenting their breast cancer awareness campaign “ICAN” to St. Johns Mercy hospitals in the Library auditorium. The campaign features several events including the Breast Concert Ever which was put on last month, a fully featured website, and print and media campaigns.

Finally, Thursday is also the last day of finals. That means Friday, May 13th is Spring Commencement at JQH Arena. Congratulations to all those graduating and have a safe summer! We’ll be updating occasionally throughout and then go back into full swing for the fall semester!
