This fall, the FCTL will be hosting an academy consisting of four two 1/2 hour sessions (1/2 hour lunch break) focused on building awareness for early career faculty around the teaching & learning philosophies, approaches, and strategies valued at Missouri State.  Sessions will be held the first Friday of each month, beginning in September, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm.

September 1:  Contemporary Instruction
October 6:  Ways of Thinking & Learning
November 3:  Student-Centered Practices & Strategies
December 1:  Teaching as Inquiry

Each 2 1/2 hour session will be held the first Friday of each month with lunch provided.  Participants will also receive a copy of “What the best college teachers do” (Bain, K., 2004), which will be referenced throughout the academy.

While this experience is designed for early career faculty,  all interested faculty members are invited to attend.
