This faculty learning community brings together professors across disciplines to collaboratively explore strategies for recognizing, coping with, and preventing faculty burnout. We will read “Unraveling Faculty Burnout,” use shared readings, have peer discussions, and develop individualized self-care plans.
This FLC provides resources and a community for professors to conquer burnout and thrive.

The Teaching Academy for Early Career Faculty provides information, resources, and support for your teaching success at MSU. Throughout the academic year, two distinct semester long sessions of the Teaching Academy are offered, and one or both may be attended in any order. Each semester session includes four 2-hour learning experiences where content will be delivered through modeling of best practices and the use of effective adult learning theories, such as discussion, real-life application, and critical reflection.
Participants in the spring academy will be engaging in a personalized instructional inquiry with the support of guided cohort.
Session topics include:
- Finding a Focus
