Continuing the Showcase Spotlight Series today is a pair of faculty members from the Cooperative Engineering Program: Dr. Theresa Odun-Ayo and Shruti Pandey!

Dr. Theresa Odun-Ayo, Director of the Cooperative Engineering Program, and Shruti Pandey, Assistant Teaching Professor in the Cooperative Engineering Program, will be presenting at the Showcase this fall during the first session of simultaneous faculty presentations. In this presentation, Dr. Odun-Ayo and Professor Pandey will be hosting a workshop to assist instructors in the creation of formative assessments, using a hands-on exploration of a circuit-analysis concept to demonstrate how assessment can actively support understanding. This presentation, which is aimed at all faculty regardless of their experience level with circuits, will utilize structured questioning, real-time feedback, and reflection to provide attendees with a solid understanding of using formative assessments to surface thinking, address misconceptions, and build conceptual understanding in their students. Attendees will learn strategies for designing questions, prompts, and feedback that meaningfully support learning.
