Continuing the Showcase Spotlight Series today is a faculty member from the Cooperative Engineering Program: Dr. Daniel Moreno-German!

Dr. Daniel Moreno-German, Assistant Professor in the Cooperative Engineering Program, will be presenting at the Showcase this fall during the second session of simultaneous faculty presentations. In this presentation, Dr. Moreno-German will be sharing a fascinating look into the use of illustrative contour maps as a pedagogical tool to assist in teaching advanced concepts. This session will examine how engineering students can be introduced to both key theoretical concepts and practical numerical modeling through the introduction of heat maps (contours), visualizations that demonstrate parametric dependence on two inputs and assist in highlighting key regions where key governing effects may be present from a scientific perspective.
