Today’s Showcase Spotlight highlights a faculty member from the Department of Information Technology and Cybersecurity: Dr. Todd Daniel!

Dr. Todd Daniel, Instructor in the Department of Information Technology and Cybersecurity, will be presenting at the Showcase this fall during the second session of simultaneous faculty presentations. During this presentation, Dr. Daniel will share an innovative strategy to develop active learning activities for busy educators interested in increasing the effectiveness of their teaching. This session will guide attendees through the use of AI tools to create materials that facilitate active learning in classrooms without requiring painstaking time commitments from busy faculty members. The information shared during this presentation will assist faculty in their transition from traditional and largely ineffective lecture-style teaching to the active learning-style teaching that demonstrably produces more durable learning. For more information on the information being shared during this presentation, locate the full session description in the Showcase event schedule on the FCTL website.
