Continuing the Showcase Spotlight Series is a faculty member from the School of Teaching, Learning, and Developmental Science: Dr. M. Raza!

Dr. M. Raza, Associate Professor in the School of Teaching, Learning, and Developmental Sciences, will be presenting at the Showcase this fall during the second session of simultaneous faculty presentations. During this presentation, Dr. Raza will provide a look at how experiential learning can be used to teach students about program assessment. This session will outline the experience of students in a course that asked them to partner with a government or nongovernment organization and systematically assess one of the organization’s programs over the course of a semester. Using the SAMREEN Evaluation Design, students applied components to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of their program, providing experiential context for program assessment that creates a balanced blend of rigor and relevance. For more details on the experience being shared during this presentation, locate Dr. Raza’s full session description in the Showcase event schedule on the FCTL website.
