As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to cause disruptions for Missouri State students, MSU stands ready to assist when and where we can. Whether it’s help with an outstanding account balance, covering essential living expenses, or accessing the internet to complete online classwork we have resources to help. To apply for COVID-19 related assistance, we encourage all applicants to complete the MSU COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Application. This application can be completed and submitted in one of two ways:
PDF Form:
Complete the fillable PDF found at https://www.missouristate.edu/assets/financialaid/COVID-19-Emergency-Assistance-Application.pdf and email to our main office address at FinancialAid@MissouriState.edu
Online Form:
Access the online application on your My.MissouriState.edu account. Once you have logged-in, navigate to the Student tab and click on the “COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Application” link under the My Financial Aid channel.
Some common issues we can provide assistance with via this application include:
- Inadequate or nonexistent internet access at your current residence – our friends in Networking and Telecommunications are working hard to expedite cellular internet access devices to students without reliable internet access.
- Loss of wages or income due to COVID-19 – many students are unable to work and, as a result, are struggling to pay day-to-day expenses. We have resources to help with these financial hurdles.
- Inability to pay your outstanding MSU bill – in some situations, we can assist students in paying down their bill in order to register for a future term or graduate.
There are other resources available to students in need as well. Don’t forget that our friends over at the Bear Pantry are still accepting online orders and that there’s a Student Success Hotline ready to answer any questions you might have.
Go Bears!
