It’s financial aid season. This year, the financial aid process has some unique challenges.
The federal government revamped the FAFSA form and process this year. The good news is that the form is easier to complete. The bad news is that it has significantly delayed our ability to provide financial aid information to new, incoming students.
The important news for you to know as a continuing student at Missouri State is that your aid process is not currently delayed.
Returning students (like you) don’t receive aid information for the next school year until after spring semester grades are due. That means that 2024-25 financial aid information should be available sometime after May 14.
Here are some things you can do now.
Next steps
While you await news on your aid package, consider checking these tasks off your to-do list:
- File the FAFSA by May 1 to maximize your opportunity for financial aid.
- By May 1, apply for nearly 1000 unique donor-funded scholarships.
- Explore and apply for other aid opportunities using MyScholarshipCentral.
- Check back to this blog for updates on our financial aid application processes.
