Grape harvest and wine production update

September 27, 2018 by Marilyn Odneal

Right now we have harvested most of the grapes and are waiting for Chambourcin and Norton to ripen. With all of the rain, we have been battling sour rot, but since we are hand harvesting with a good crew, we can remove rot from the clusters before the grapes are taken to the winery. The wine makers are busy making room for the new wines being made and bottling wine that has been in tanks from 2017.
