What's happening in the field?

At the Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station

Fordland High School FFA Students Visit the Fruit Station

May 11, 2022 by Jennifer Morganthaler

Clayton Tunnell, Agriculture Teacher brought FFA members in the Greenhouse and AG 2 class from Fordland High School came to visit the Fruit Station. The students were welcomed by Dr. Hwang and faculty and staff from the station.  Jennifer then gave a presentation on the history and research being conducted at the station.  Susanne and Jennifer then took the group on a tour of the greenhouses and high tunnels.  The group was excited to learn about what we do here and see the greenhouses and high tunnel as well as the research in the fields. They even stopped by the sales floor for a quick visit.  Before they left, they could not resist doing some tree identification in our Ozarks Arboretum since they did place 5th in the State Forestry Team Competition. Way to go Fordland FFA!  Thanks for coming to visit us and keep up the good work.
