At the Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station

International Students from Southwest University Program in China and Graduate Students from the International Leadership Training Center Visited Mountain Grove

On Friday April 21, 2023 Jacob Schneider, Instructor in Plant Science and Natural Resource, Dr. Chin-Feng Hwang, Department Head of Plant Science and Natural Resources, and Jinzi Fan a Programs Specialist with International Leadership and Training Center brought international students from Southwest University in Chongqing, China and Graduate Students from the International Leadership Training Center visited the Mountain Grove Fruit Experiment Station. The students started with a welcome and introductions from Dr. Hwang and an overview presentation by Jennifer Morganthaler, Clinical Instructor and Orchard Manager. Then the fun began as the group had a wine tasting given by cellar technician, Jeremy Emery with Shelia and Pam helping pour. This was followed by a tour of the winery and distillery, Tom Barker, Randy Stout and Shelia Long then made sure the group had a safe and fun wagon ride of the research fields. The group ended with an opportunity to see the sales floor and visit with Pam Turner and Leslie Akers one more time.
