Dr. Albert Barreda recently presented at a conference in Taipei, Taiwan.
The 2019 International Conference on Business, Economics and Management in the Age of Intelligence (ICBEM) was June 3-5 at the Chihlee University of Technology.
About Barreda’s presentation
Barreda, assistant professor of hospitality leadership, presented his research, “The Effect of Employee Competence.” Dr. Yoshimasa (Nancy) Kageyama, assistant professor of hospitality leadership at Missouri State, co-authored the paper.
Their research looks at relationships between employee competence, customer delight and customer word of mouth.
Barreda talked about how to make the customer happier with the experience to encourage others to come as well. The study involved real consumers.
“The results have provided valuable implications for research and the industry regarding generating favorable customer behaviors in positive service encounters,” Barreda said.
