Bear Pantry
Many people struggle to afford food and household items needed for the immediate future. In the middle of the season of giving, we are reminded that the University community is fortunate to have Bear Pantry available to serve members those in need, including faculty, staff, and students. Bear Pantry’s vision, to provide the MSU community with access to well-rounded, nutritious resources and education to increase food security and healthy lifestyle choices.
Located in the University Hall basement, employees and students may shop online or in person for food, hygiene, and household goods. Shoppers should bring a reusable shopping bag.

- Monday | 10a.m. – 4p.m.
- Tuesday | 9a.m. – 7p.m.
- Wednesday | 9a.m. – 7p.m.
- Thursday | 9a.m. – 4p.m.
- Friday | 9a.m.- 4p.m.
Want to help your fellow bears?
Employees who wish to help the MSU community may volunteer time, purchase items from the pantry’s Amazon Wish list, Donate Money, lead a donation drive, or give to Bear Pantry through payroll deductions. You can make a big difference for a struggling individual or family right here within our own University community.
Family Support Division on Campus
Family Support Division is now partnering with MSU to offer one on one support to students (or qualifying faculty/staff) who need Income Maintenance benefits. Providing assistance with applying for SNAP (food stamp) benefits, Medicaid, temporary assistance, childcare assistance, nursing home care, and additional support.
Located in PSU 131 in the center for community engagement, services are available by appointment or Walk-in basis, or schedule an appointment online.
