Election Day is almost here! If you plan to vote on Tuesday, August 4, now is a great time to review Missouri State University’s voting leave benefit and make your plan to cast your ballot.
Voting Leave at Missouri State
Missouri State supports civic engagement and encourages employees to exercise their right to vote.
Under University Policy G7.02-7 – Leave Benefits, eligible employees who do not have sufficient time outside of their scheduled work hours while the polls are open may be granted up to three hours of paid leave to vote, consistent with Missouri law and university policy. Employees should coordinate their request with their supervisor in advance so departments can maintain normal operations while allowing employees the opportunity to vote.
