Helping save for education.
The MOST 529 plan is a tax-advantaged college savings plan sponsored by the state of Missouri. It allows individuals to save for education expenses for themselves, their children, or other beneficiaries. Contributions to the plan are invested in a variety of investment options, such as mutual funds, and earnings grow tax deferred. Withdrawals used for qualified education expenses, including tuition, room and board, and textbooks, are federally tax-free. Additionally, Missouri residents may also qualify for state tax deductions on contributions. The plan offers flexibility in terms of contribution amounts and investment options, making it a popular choice for saving for education expenses.
