The Certified Administrative Professional® (CAP) designation from the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) is recognized as a standard of proficiency in the administrative professionals field. The University provides assistance toward the attainment of the CAP rating by any full-time regular employee who is in a nonexempt, classified secretarial/clerical/office support position – Job Family 1 in the University’s classification index. Review Course costs and exam fees are paid for by the University one time per eligible employee.
Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) Orientation and Information Virtual Session
This one-hour virtual information session will answer all your questions about the Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) Exam Review Course being offered this fall. Topics include eligibility requirements, the registration process (including manager approval), course schedule, scheduling for the CAP exam in October and answers to any questions you may have.
Anyone who is interested in CAP is strongly encouraged to attend this session.

Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) Exam Review Course
NOTE: Before registering for the CAP Exam Review Course, you are encouraged to attend the CAP Orientation and Information Virtual session (see above) to ensure you understand the CAP process and that you meet all CAP requirements (including manager approval).
The CAP Exam Review Course provides an overview of the topics that are tested on the CAP exam. The course does not provide in-depth instruction on each topic, so individual study is required for exam preparation. Participants will receive a study guide in the course for exam preparation. This course is offered by Organizational and Talent Development and facilitated by Colleen Neill, a qualified CAP certified instructor through the Missouri Small Business Development Center at Missouri State University.
