Mercy Care Management and Missouri State University
✨ MSU employees have access to a strong network of support through Mercy Care Management, Magers physicians, and the Nurse on Call program—helping you manage your health, access resources, and receive care when you need it most.
Who Are They
The Mercy Care Management team includes five nurses with 127 years of combined nursing experience and over 30 years in case management.
MSU’s primary case managers:
- Amy Hopkins, MSN, RN, CCM – Cardiac ICU, Nurse Educator
- Todi Crawford, MSN, RN-BC – Emergency Room, Cardiac ICU
Together, they ensure you receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
The Purpose of Care Management
The Mercy Care Management team’s mission is to:
- Support evidence-based practices in chronic disease management and preventive care
- Remove barriers to care by addressing social determinants of health (SDOH)
- Help patients build confidence through self-management skills

Partnering with Magers Health and Wellness Center
Magers physicians work hand-in-hand with Mercy Care Management. This partnership allows employees to receive coordinated, personalized care that blends the convenience of on-campus health services with Mercy’s case management expertise.
By working together, Magers providers and Mercy nurses can better manage chronic conditions, support preventive care, and ensure every patient receives the attention they need.
Nurse on Call – Real-Time Guidance When You Need It
MSU employees and dependents on the university health plan have access to MSU Nurse on Call.

- Available: 24/7/365
- Who can use it: Any MSU-insured patient without a Mercy primary care physician
- Why it matters: Get real-time guidance for health questions outside of normal office hours and be directed to the most appropriate level of care
👉 Employees with a Mercy primary care physician should continue using Mercy On Call by calling their provider’s office directly.
Building Self-Management Skills
Mercy also offers Chronic Disease Self-Management and Diabetes Self-Management classes:
🕑 Format: 2 hours per week, for 6 weeks
