New Dynamic Forms PAF Training Courses Available

Access two new on-demand Dynamic Forms PAF courses for initiators and approvers.

July 2, 2026 by Jason N. Coons

Human Resources is proud to announce that two new Dynamic Forms PAF (Personnel Action Form) online training courses are now available in My Learning Connection. These on-demand courses are designed to help PAF initiators and PAF approvers successfully complete, review and manage PAFs.

Using Dynamic Forms PAFs

The Dynamic Form Personnel Action Form (PAF) is an essential tool used to document and process employee personnel actions. The PAF is used to report and obtain approval for a wide range of employment-related changes, including appointments, terminations, status changes, compensation updates, and other personnel actions. The Dynamic Form PAF should be completed whenever an action needs to be documented in an employee’s personnel file or when a payroll-related change is required. In addition to serving as the official record of the personnel action, the form functions as the transmittal document through the approval process, ensuring that all necessary reviews and authorizations are completed before the action is implemented. With a total runtime of just under 15 minutes, this on-demand online training course will provide an overview of the Dynamic Form PAF, including when it should be used, how to complete it accurately, and the approval workflow that supports timely and compliant processing of personnel actions.

Dynamic Forms PAFs – For Approvers

As an approver, you play a critical role in ensuring personnel actions are reviewed, authorized, and processed accurately. Every Dynamic Form Personnel Action Form (PAF) begins with an initiator, who is responsible for selecting the appropriate departmental approvers by entering the email addresses for the designated Department Head/Director, Dean, and Major Administrator approval levels. Once submitted, the Dynamic Form PAF follows a predefined workflow through the required approval and processing channels. Approvers serve as an important checkpoint in this process, helping to verify that personnel actions are accurate, properly funded, and compliant with university policies and procedures. With a total runtime of just under 25 minutes, this on-demand online training course will provide an overview of the approver’s role within the Dynamic Form PAF workflow, including approval responsibilities, routing considerations, and best practices for reviewing and processing personnel actions efficiently and accurately.
