ROARing to serve in AuROARa, Colorado! – Yawei Yang

March 27, 2018 by Yawei Yang

Hard to believe that this awesome Colorado immersion trip has been completed for a while. We were all fired up about serving in Aurora, Colorado, but I know it went by so fast! I kept drifting away almost the whole day after this adventure ended, maybe hasn’t ended yet:-P We had an immeasurable amount of memories in colorful Colorado. Thank you so much for being such amazing … [Read more...] about ROARing to serve in AuROARa, Colorado! – Yawei Yang

Bear Breaks in Colorado–Rachel McGrath

March 25, 2018 by Yawei Yang

Last week I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with a Bear Breaks trip to Aurora, Colorado. On this trip, we volunteered at Children’s Hospital Colorado. I had to make three … [Read more...] about Last day serving in Colorado! — Michaela Fisher

We had a blast in Colorado!-Michaela Fisher

March 15, 2018 by Yawei Yang

Tuesday was extraordinary. We played with children all morning and the creative play room was completely full. The kiddos brought me so many smiles and gave me such inspiration. Even the children with medical conditions did not play any less hard or give up any easier. If anything, I watched them struggle to get up the slide stairs even harder. It’s so easy to get caught up in … [Read more...] about We had a blast in Colorado!-Michaela Fisher

Volunteers, a precious resource we can not afford to lose!

December 9, 2017 by Yawei Yang

Time flies in just a blink of an eye! Bears finished their last regular meeting for this semester on the past Wednesday. We were also having an awesome potluck in our “Ugly Christmas Sweaters.” I spent my last few breaks doing volunteer work with Bear Breaks and learned lots of valuable lessons through every immersion trip. Volunteering is demanding to some degree, it makes me … [Read more...] about Volunteers, a precious resource we can not afford to lose!
