This weeks #LeaderBear is passionate about the wildlife and developing leaders on Missouri State’s campus! Ryan Frohock is a Wilflife Biology major that is about to grad
uate in two short months. He has been involved in our Emerging Leaders program for three years in a row beginning as a participant and then transitioning to a facilitator role..twice! This top 5 strengths are achiever, developer, intellection, responsibility, and restorative. Outside of his involvement within leadership development, he has immersed himself in other areas on and off campus. Ryan participated in a Bear Breaks service trip to New Orleans to work with Habitat for Humanity, was Philanthropy Chairman for his fraternity; Theta Chi, and an Animal Care intern at Wonders of Wildlife.
When asked what has impacted him most through our programs, his response included..
“Going through the Emerging Leaders program my freshman year gave me the confidence to try new things and the skills to take on leadership positions. The program also gave me some of my first and strongest friendships at Missouri State. I am lucky to be facilitating my second year of Emerging Leaders because I get to give back to the program, continue to build my leadership skills, and watch the future leaders of Missouri State develop.”
The advice that he would give to younger students is…
“My advice to younger students is to seize every opportunity you are afforded and give it your all. College is a time for growth and experiencing new things, so make the most of your time here and graduate with no regrets.”
We are so lucky to have had Ryan on our team for the past three years! He has been such a vital part of the this programs growth!
