Advertising and Marketing Internship for Fall 2017

The Traveling Princess Company offers live entertainment for children’s birthday parties and events. They are looking for organized, self-starting, driven individuals to join the team as an Advertising and Marketing intern for the Fall semester. The internship would entail creating and initiating a promotional plan for the company, with an emphasis on forming new business-to-business relationships, building a stronger social media presence, and assisting in the planning of community engagement events. The Advertising and Marketing intern would be expected to commit 5 hours a week to The Traveling Princess Company and will receive a modest stipend upon completion of the internship.

Responsibilities:

• Make creative social media posts and maintain a social media posting schedule
• Distribute flyers, posters, and business cards bi-weekly to local businesses
• Research and initiate relationships with other local businesses
• Research and schedule appearances for the company at local community events
• Carefully and creatively use The Traveling Princess Company’s advertising budget to build a strong social media and community presence

Qualifications:

• Business, Marketing, Advertising, or Communications major/minor
• Good communication skills
• Experience managing social media accounts
• Basic graphic design knowledge
