MSU staff nominations being accepted for 2021 Public Affairs award

January 26, 2021 by Public Affairs

Staff Nomination Deadline:  March 5, 2021

The Board of Governors’ Excellence in Public Affairs Award is currently accepting staff nominations for the 2021-22 award.  Missouri State staff work to support and propel the public affairs mission in many and creative ways. This award recognizes those work efforts and commitment to one or more of the pillars: ethical leadership, cultural competence and community engagement.

All staff levels qualify for nomination, and there is no limit to the number of staff that may be nominated.  However, all nominees must have three years of full-time MSU employment at the time of nomination.  Staff nominations may be submitted by colleagues, faculty, administrators, students, alumni or community members.

Please email your staff nominee’s name to Dr. Keri Franklin, Associate Provost for Public Affairs & Assessment at KFranklin@MissouriState.edu by March 5, 2021.  An accompanying nomination letter is welcomed but not required.

Six awards will be presented for up to three staff and three faculty.  Faculty have a separate procedure for nomination by their College.  Each recipient receives an internal grant of $1,500 to support their public affairs efforts. For more information view the award webpage or contact Stacey Trewatha-Bach, Office of Public Affairs Support at 417-836-8832 or staceytrewatha@missouristate.edu.
