An entrance to the “Muristan” area of the Old City, which is a large market centered around a fountain.  This was, not coincidentally, the area of the Roman Forum after Jerusalem had been destroyed by the Romans and during the Byzantine period.

 

The view from one of my favorite little coffee and ice cream shops in the Muristan, where I often like to stop, rest, refresh, and “people-watch.”
