Dr. Vadim Putzu, Assistant Professor in the Department of Religious Studies at Missouri State University, will present at the upcoming 28th Annual Symposium of Jewish Civilization, 25-26 October in Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska. Dr. Putzu’s paper, “Tasting Heaven: Wine and the World to Come from the Talmud to Safed,” will be presented on Sunday at the Omaha Jewish Community Center. Dr. Putzu’s research interests include Jewish mysticism and the Kabbalah, philosophy, and science fiction and religion.
The symposium’s theme this year is “olam ha-zeh v’olam ha-ba: This World and the World to Come in Jewish Belief and Practice.” More information may be found at here.
