Thank You, Dean Matthews

As many of you know, Dr. Victor Matthews is retiring after an amazing 39-year career at Missouri State University!

At the recent Judy Awards ceremony, Dean Matthews was honored with the “Dean’s Legacy Award” by Dean Shawn Wahl, with President Smart and Provost Jasinski in attendance.

It was a special evening that included video tributes from a few of Dean Matthews’ colleagues . . .

Victor Matthews began teaching  in 1984 at (then) Southwest Missouri State University in the Religious Studies Department, becoming dean of the College of Humanities and Public Affairs in 2009.  We are truly proud of and grateful to Vic as our professor, dean, and soon-to-be emeritus professor.

We build from this legacy as we enter an exciting new chapter with the Reynolds College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities.
