Netflix has come out with a documentary style show called Street Food. Seeing the intricacies and history of street food got me very excited for the food in Vietnam and Laos (not that I wasn’t already excited. I’m not sure how abundant street food is in Laos, but I know it is all over the place in Vietnam and other SE Asian countries, so I assume Laos has a good amount as well. It’s amazing how street vendors in these areas are able to build such reputations based on the quality of their food. After doing a little bit of searching, I’ve found that there are actually tours in Vietnam that take you to some of the most esteemed street food vendors. I’ve also found that street food has become so prevalent in these countries simply due to demand and satisfaction of the locals. That really speaks to the quality of street vendors and has me looking forward to it. I am going to overeat like never before and to be honest I can’t wait.

I love going to local food trucks in the Springfield area but I’m nervous to try the street food out of the country. I will have to watch the Neflix documentary so I know more of what the expect.
