Today was the first full day in Ho Chi Minh City and was packed with a lot of activities. The first thing on our agenda was the briefing with the USA diplomats. I found the diplomats jobs to be very interesting, their job is to protect Americans whenever they enter a foreign country and to help them if they are ever in trouble. The diplomats live a crazy life because they have to move to a new country every 2 to 3 years, I find that would be really hard to adjust to but would be an amazing experience living in so many different countries. Next we game a presentation to Vietnam students about Missouri and where we all come from. After the presentation we got into small groups with the students to answers questions they had about Missouri, they mainly asked me questions about our school system and what Missouri State University is like. I really enjoyed talking to the students because I feel like they were very interested and and intrigued about what I had to say, I also loved how some of them wanted to take pictures after that’s how I could tell they were happy to have us there. The next stop was the university of economics (HCMC) where we meet a group of students close to our age in a organization called “BELL”, which is an English club . They got to show us around there school and give us a tour on a motorbike. I was really heist to ride one because the streets are very busy and crazy, but once I got on it, it wasn’t to bad. The girl I rode with was super nice I asked her if it was hard to figure out how to drive one on such crazy streets she said it’s very easy anyone could do it.

I had fun dủing the conversation hour ưith the students as ưell! They ưere a lot òf fun to talk to. The students at UEH ưere also vẻry nice ás ưell. My motorbike tour ứas a bit longer than everyone else’s, but the gỉrl I rode ưith ứas nice. The traffic ís just núts at all hours, so I ứas pretty héitant to go on the bikes also. They get so close to other bikes, cars, and buses. I still can’t get over people just câsually ưalking across the street like it’s nothing.
