History website focused on tomorrow’s students

The history website was redesigned as part of the Academic Website Project, which strives to enhance academic websites for use in recruitment efforts.

History WebsiteKey features of the newly designed website include the following:

  • Clearly breaks down different programs, including teacher education options
    Students studying history have many career options; the teacher education options are now clearly delineated and outlined.
  • Promotes student opportunities
    This department offers several ways for students to get involved outside the classroom, from History Day to essay contests. All of these options are outlined within the new site.

Public administration program website reveals new look

The Master of Public Administration website redesign was completed as part of the Academic Website Project, which strives to enhance academic websites for use in recruitment efforts.

Master of Public AdministrationKey features of the newly designed website include the following:

  • Features accelerated program and certificate availability
    The new program homepage not only links directly to the accelerated degree option (a sought after feature by students), but it also offers information about the Certificate in Public Management (an alternative to the full master’s program).
  • Highlights extensive career and internship opportunities
    The website includes an extensive directory of career and internship opportunities, which showcases how students and graduates can find positions. The site also profiles students who have served as interns.

Criminology website helps recruit prospective students (and a new department head)

The criminology and criminal justice website was recently updated as part of the Academic Website Project, which strives to enhance academic websites for use in recruitment efforts.

CriminologyKey features of the newly designed criminology website include the following:

  • Provides details on all criminology programs
    Students can not only find information about the criminology undergraduate and graduate programs, but they can find information on the related MSAS option and the homeland security and defense certificate.
  • Showcases YouTube channel
    Several pages within the site house a YouTube playlist that provides access to the videos within the criminology YouTube channel.

This website’s audience went beyond prospective students—it was also used to help recruit a new department head.
