Happy Spring 2015 semester! We’re excited for the new year and hope that you’ve had a refreshing break. To welcome back our amazing faculty and staff, we’ve put together a list of tips to help you get off to a great start this semester.
- Reboot your computer on Friday afternoons to keep it running efficiently throughout the week. Even computers need a refresher from time to time.
(Greg Winkeler, Centralized User Support Specialist) - Check Experts for information about University technology. We have recently redesigned the entire site to make it much easier for you to find what you need. Check out the new Knowledge Base!
(Kristi Oetting, Technical Training and Documentation Administrator) - Use an online storage solution to save your files instead of a thumb drive. The Online Storage Options page on Experts will give you some tips.
(Tim Hurt, Centralized User Support Specialist) - When it’s time to change your password, you can easily do so on a University computer. Just press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and click Change a Password. After you change your password (with any method), log out and back into your computer to confirm the change.
(Jeremy Blades, Microcomputer Support Administrator) - Try using a password app like LastPass to keep all of your passwords secure.
(Brad Davidson, Centralized User Support Specialist)
Have a wonderful semester, and remember that if you run into any trouble, the Help Desk would be happy to hear from you!
