Alumni Association Awards
Each year the Alumni Association presents awards to individuals who have exceptional personal or professional achievements. Awards include:
- Lifetime Achievement Award: honors alumni of Missouri State University whose life and accomplishments have earned the respect of their industry, profession or community.
- Outstanding Alumni Award: recognizes recipients for extraordinary achievement in their personal and professional endeavors.
- Outstanding Young Alumni Award: recognizes graduates 35 years of age or younger who have demonstrated extraordinary achievement in their personal and professional endeavors.
- Alumni Award for Excellence in Public Affairs: recognizes graduates who have exceptional achievements in their professional endeavors, while demonstrating outstanding commitment to the ideals of public service.
- Bears of Excellence Award: recognizes up to six alumni each year who are making a difference in big and small ways, through their commitment to community and the pursuit of excellence.
- Volunteer of the Year Award: celebrates individuals or groups who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership or service to the Missouri State community.
- Award of Appreciation: honors retired faculty and staff members for achievements in their professional or academic fields and loyalty to the University.

Nominations
Nominations are being accepted until Dec. 1, 2017 for recipients who will be recognized at the awards banquet on June 23, 2018.
