Assistant Professor Josh Albers and BFA Graphic Design and Illustration student Batsheba Castro-Martinez have arrived in Poland as part of an exchange between the Department and the Academy of Fine Arts of Kraków.
The Academy is the oldest university of the arts in Poland, established in 1818, and one of Europe’s premier art and design schools. This exchange is supported by an Erasmus+ grant, a program managed by the European Union Commission to support a broad range of educational opportunities. Albers will lead a workshop on the topic of “Creating Virtual 3D Scenes with Physically-Based Rendering”, and Batsheba will become immersed in life at the Academy.
In October 2018 the Department hosted Dr Marta Bożyk for a week long printmaking workshop and lecture as a first event in the exchange, which we hope will be a strong and lasting cooperation between the two institutions.
