Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month offers a glimpse into the contributions, influence and enriching traditions of AAPI people.
This April, Missouri State University provides a supportive space for the Springfield community to join together, become educated and celebrate AAPI Heritage Month.
To kick things off, an Art Expo will take place 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on April 4 in the Multicultural Resource Center (MRC).
AAPI students, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to display their works of art in the MRC as a walkthrough experience.
The types of art expected to be on display include:
- Paintings.
- Photography.
- Resin art.

AAPI Student Experience: A Panel Discussion, 5 p.m., PSU Room 312 or Zoom
This will be a panel discussion among a group of Missouri State students. They will speak about their experiences and answer questions the community may have.
April 19
Students Activities Council (SAC) Speaker, 7 p.m., PSU Theater
April 26
Pho Food Demo, 5:30 p.m., PSU Room 315
The hospitality leadership department will provide a virtual food demonstration of how to create a mouthwatering Pho dish.
