Beginning in the spring 2014 semester, the Management Department will offer a new and exciting minor on the topic of leadership. This minor was developed to allow for greater focus on this critical component of effective management. It will provide a foundation for an increased understanding of organizations and leaders as well as challenges leaders face.
The minor “will help students prepare to be leaders and will set them apart from others who may only take a course or two. I think students will also become more confident in their ability to lead and assume responsibility for their part in an organization,” states Dr. William Donoher, Head of the Management Department.
This minor can be completed in about 18 months; required courses include:
-
MGT 340 Organizational Behavior and Management (3)
- MGT 341 Advanced Organization Behavior and Development (3)
- MGT 440 Leadership Foundations and Development (3)
- MGT 441 Authentic Leadership in Business (3)
- MGT 442 Selected Topics in Organizational Behavior (3)
We anticipate courses will fill quickly, so be sure to register today. For more information on course sequencing and registration, contact Management Department Head Dr. William Donoher, WJDonoher@missouristate.edu .
