AITP Students Demonstrate Superior Skills at Regional Competition

Seven members of the Missouri State University chapter of AITP (Association of Information Technology Professionals) attended the AITP Region 3 conference at Cameron University in Lawton, OK on October 2-4, 2014. Students competed in several contests, attended breakout sessions, and networked with conference sponsors and professional association members.

The following students received honors at this event:

  • 1st Place: Mobile Applications: Greg Donnell and Ryan Gyger
  • 1st Place: Microsoft Office: Lucas Gautier and Patricia Richardson
  • 2nd Place: Microsoft Office: Greg Donnell and Mitchell Marlow
  • The MSU team also won 3rd Place for Overall University

The MSU chapter of AITP currently has 57 members and is sponsored by the Southwest Missouri Professional Chapter of AITP. The Southwest Missouri Professional Chapter of AITP is the largest in the United States, with 228 members. They are proud supporters of the MSU chapter, and host the annual Tech IT Out Expo which brings in IT professionals from across the region. The expo offers educational sessions and industry experts from local and national companies. AITP students benefit from networking while they volunteer at Tech IT Out each fall.
