Tartans – also known as plaids – are associated with tradition and authenticity. Many universities have established official tartans, which can be used to create a variety of apparel items.

Through a partnership with Collegiate Tartan Apparel, the department of merchandising and fashion design has developed two options for Missouri State’s official tartan. Now, the Missouri State community has the opportunity to select the winning option.

Key details

  • What: Vote for Missouri State’s official tartan
  • When: May 11 – May 25
  • Where: Online at the Missouri State Collegiate Tartan Survey
  • Who: Open to all members of the Missouri State community (including students, alumni, faculty and staff)

Plaid pride

Voters will rate the two choices and weigh in on which products they’d like to see manufactured in the official tartan. Options include scarves, blankets, pajamas, ties, pocket squares, tees and more.

So vote now for Missouri State’s official tartan, and look forward to sporting Bear pride in style!
