Next up in the Showcase Spotlight Series is the FCTL’s very own Dr. Stacy Rice!

Dr. Stacy Rice, Senior Instructional Designer in the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning, will be presenting at the Showcase this fall during the first session of simultaneous faculty presentations. Dr. Rice will be sharing guidance and information on some key features of course design and Brightspace utilization. In this presentation, Dr. Rice will outline strategies to strengthen course design using Quality Matters (QM) standards and the QM Self-Review process, as well as provide information on new Brightspace templates that instructors can use to make their course organization easier and more effective. Dr. Rice will also be sharing a preview of the Brightspace New Experience, providing attendees a look into the upcoming transition and better understanding of how the changes can support teaching campus-wide. Attend the Showcase on August 12, 2026, to hear from Dr. Rice and many other inspiring presenters. To find the sign-up within My Learning Connection, click the link below and navigate to the “Learning and Development” card in My Missouri State. Select “My Learning Connection” from the links, and type “Showcase” into the search box in the top right of the screen. From the results, select the section you’d like to register for and save your spot at the event.
