Finding mental health care can feel especially challenging right now. If you’re not able to leave your home, there are options available for you to talk to someone and get help. There are a variety of hotlines people can reach out to, including:
- Texting HELLO to 741741 for 24/7 support from Crisis Text line
- Calling the NAMI helpline at 800-950-6264, which is staffed by volunteers who have mental health conditions
- Calling the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255
- Using the Disaster Distress helpline at 1-800-985-5990 or texting TalkWithUs at 66745 or visit the website at DisasterDistress.samhsa.gov
There are also options available on campus at Magers Health and Wellness Center:
- Magers Health and Wellness Center: You can call 417-836-4000 to schedule an appointment with a mental health provider such as a Psychologist, Psychiatrist, and a Licensed Professional Counselor
- Counseling Center: You can call 417-836-5116 to schedule an appointment with one of the Counselors at the Counseling Center (the Counseling Center is only for students)
