The CDC has authorized the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination for ages 12-15. Magers Health and Wellness Center will be offering Pfizer vaccines to the expanded age ranges starting Friday, May 14. Children will need to be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian, and will need written permit to treat. Reservations for children may be made by contacting the Magers Health and Wellness center by phone at 417-836-4000.
Clinics for these vaccines (Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson) will be available on the following dates (you will choose the vaccine you want when scheduling your appointment):
- Friday, May 14
- Monday, May 17
- Thursday, May 20
The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine requires two doses with a three week period between the vaccines. The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is a one dose vaccine.
As of May 12, all Missouri residents ages 12 and up are eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is approved for ages 18 and up.
