Six HRA students were selected to represent the department as Student Ambassadors for the upcoming academic year. Returning Student Ambassadors include Jeff Driskill and Lauren Mattson. New to the group will be Samm Hill-Prock, Lazarus Hardin, Ali Stonecipher and Kristin Wahl. The students will assist with recruitment activities and professional outreach. In the fall, they will be a vital part of the Recruiter’s Fair, Missouri State University’s Showcase, Majors’ Fair and at various recruiting visits to high schools in the area.
They travel to the high schools with the HRA Recruiter, Katie Tucker. This provides the high school students with a student’s perspective of the program and Missouri State. Already this semester, they visited Hillcrest (Springfield), Parkview (Springfield) and Logan-Rogersville.
Student Ambassadors are selected each year through a competitive selection process. Requirements include a minimum overall GPA of 3.0, completion of a minimum of six HRA credit hours, must be passionate about the HRA department and the industry, energetic and comfortable with public speaking.
Our Student Ambassadors’ biographies can be found on our website.
