IMPORTANT: To reduce the chance of system issues, please be aware that this training is not currently compatible with MacOS devices and browsers. We highly recommend users complete the training using the Chrome browser on a Windows PC.
Over the next 12 months, we’re conducting a staggered rollout of our Mandatory Employee Compliance Training. All full-time employees, including graduate assistants, and student workers are required to complete compliance training within thirty (30) calendar days from their hire date and every three (3) years thereafter. When you receive an email in the coming months indicating that the training has been assigned to you, please complete the training as directed.
Supervisors will also receive an email when Compliance Training is assigned to an employee they supervise. However, because this is a staggered rollout based on an employee’s hire month, team members under the same supervisor may receive the training at different times throughout the year. Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that the employees who report to them and have received their email complete the required training in a timely fashion.
What Does the Training Entail?
This mandatory online training takes less than one hour to complete and consists of the following elements:
· Compliance Training Introduction from President Smart,
· Discrimination Awareness in the Workplace,
· Title IX: Roles of Responsible Employees,
· a Compliance Resource Document.
Tips for Completion
Specific instructions and assistance for completion are detailed in your assignment email and are also included at the end of this blog post.
· Complete the training on a Windows PC (not compatible with MacOS).
· Use Chrome and ensure “third-party cookies” are enabled in the browser.
· Disable the Pop-up Blocker in My Learning Connection.
· Sign all four (4) Completion Acknowledgements.
· Check that the progress shows 100%.

How to Enable Cookies in Chrome
If you are unable to access training due to the Pop-up Blocker in the Chrome browser, follow these instructions to allow pop-ups for the site:
1. Click the three vertical dots on the top right corner in Chrome and select Settings.
2. Find the advanced section and go to Site Settings.
3. Inside the site settings, click cookies, and tick the “Allow 3rd party cookies” checkbox.
4. Close and reload the browser. If you continue to have issues, please contact Computer Services Help Desk.
How to Disable the Pop-up Blocker in My Learning Connection
If you are unable to access training due to the Pop-up Blocker in the Chrome browser, follow these instructions to allow pop-ups for the site:
1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. Go to a page where pop-ups are blocked.
3. On the right side of the address bar, click Pop-up blocked .
4. Click the link for the pop-up you want to see.
5. Select Always allow pop-ups and redirects from [site] >Done. If you continue to have issues, please contact Computer Services Help Desk.
