Don’t miss these important dates!

From screenings to benefit fairs to health education programs, several key events are coming up this fall. Be sure to add them to your calendar so you don’t miss opportunities to protect your health, access benefits, and earn your wellness incentive.

πŸ§ͺ Biometric Screenings

Identify potential health risks early.

  • Oct. 8 – West Plains Student Recreation Center, 10 a.m.–2:30 p.m. (Magers, by appointment)
  • Oct. 28 – Springfield, PSU 308, 7–9:45 a.m. (Mercy, schedule online)
  • Oct. 29 – Springfield, PSU 308, 7–9:45 a.m. (Mercy, schedule online)
  • Oct. 30 – West Plains Student Recreation Center, 9 a.m.–1:30 p.m. (Magers, by appointment)
  • Year-round – Magers Health and Wellness (by appointment, Jan. 1–Dec. 1)

➑️ If not completed at Magers, email record (with lipid panel & A1C results) to MagersMedicalRecords@MissouriState.edu (subject: Biometric Screening).

πŸ’‰ Flu Vaccinations

Protect yourself and others from influenza.

🌿 Chronic Disease Self-Management Program

Take care of your health β€” and support family members or caregivers managing chronic conditions.

  • πŸ“… When: Thursdays | Oct. 16 & Nov. 20 | 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • πŸ“ Where: 3265 S. National Avenue, Springfield, MO
  • πŸ’² Cost: Free (registration required)
  • πŸ“ž Register: Call 417-841-5667 by Friday, October 10

This six-week program is for anyone living with a chronic disease, as well as family members or caregivers. Participants will receive Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions and learn important management skills.

πŸ’‘ Wellness Incentive

Full-time employees enrolled in the Health Plan can earn up to $30 per month ($360 per year) by completing any two of the following by Dec. 1, 2025:

  • Biometric screening
  • Flu vaccination
  • Educational questionnaire
  • βœ… Each activity = $15/month
  • βœ… Complete two = Full $30/month incentive
  • βœ… Completing all three is encouraged (but the maximum incentive remains $30/month)
