Claims from approximately June-December 2025 were impacted by the transition to the new Point·C system and may still require reconciliation. We want to provide clear guidance to help employees understand what this means for finance charges and account balances.
What You Need to Know About These Impacted Claims
- Claims from June-December 2025 experienced processing delays due to the Point·C transition.
- Magers, HR, Point·C and Financial Services are actively working to reconcile these claims.
Standard Claims Processing
- Claims beginning January 2026 are processing within the normal 60 days from date of service.
- If your claim has not been processed within 60 days, please contact Magers Health and Wellness (via the Magers insurance email) for review.
Finance Charges and Next Steps
To help manage these reconciliations effectively:
- Financial Services withheld finance charges for Magers clinic Point·C claims generated during the September, October and November billing cycles.
- Once your Point·C payment has been received and posted, you may contact Accounts Receivable (via the Bursar email) to assess what finance charges should be removed due to delayed processing.
- Finance charges unrelated to delayed claims (e.g., unpaid copays or confirmed patient balances) remain the responsibility of the employee.
Ongoing Employee Responsibilities
Even while reconciliation is in process:
- Pay copays at the time of service or when billing becomes available.
- Monitor your account to confirm claims have been processed.
- Verify insurance payments and provide any documentation requested by your insurer.
- Pay any applicable patient balances.
Magers and Accounting will continue reviewing accounts as needed and may reverse finance charges in situations tied specifically to delayed claims processing.
We appreciate your patience as we work through these reconciliations and encourage employees to follow the steps outlined above to ensure accurate account balances. For ongoing updates, please continue following the HR Blog.
